The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for the Palestinian Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) launched an appeal for emergency interventions to address the humanitarian needs of the Palestinian refugees affected by the Syrian war, including the refugees who are still in Syria as well as those who fled to Lebanon and Jordan.
According to the agency, 90% of the Palestinian refugees how fled Syrian into Lebanon live under the poverty line, while 95% suffer from food insecurity; and under these conditions these refugees face double the sufferings of the Syrian refugees.
