REPORT: Protests staged in Beirut as Parliament convenes
Protesters gathered on Thursday in Beirut's Riad al-Solh Square to press for several demands as Lebanese MPs attended a Parliament session in the Nejmeh Square.

A group of protesters comprised of contract workers at state institutions, high school teachers and Civil Defense employees who had been laid off gathered in Beirut downtown, urging officials to meet their demands.
