Almost one-year-old Nour passes away: natural death or murder?
The death of almost 1-year-old Nour was shrouded in mystery as she passed away shortly after she was rushed to hospital in a coma.

Social Affairs Minister Wael Abou Faour headed for the town of Bent Jbeil to file a lawsuit against the victim’s father, a Syrian national, and her mother which happens to be her almost 18-year-old aunt.

The minister explained that although Nour’s stepmother claims that the daughter had fallen, many question marks are raised in this regard.

Abou Faour confirmed that Nour had been earlier brought, in poor health condition, by her father to the department of social affairs as she suffered malnutrition. The minister added that the girl was brought once again by her stepmother to the hospital and she had a large lump in her lip.

The child might have been subjected to physical abuse especially that her skin showed some burns, Abou Faour concluded.

Pending the investigations’ results, the ministry of social affairs is seeking to pull out Nour’s five siblings from the family after reports on their abuse emerged.
