British International Development Secretary Priti Patel refused to tackle the Syrian crisis from a political perspective during her short visit to Lebanon, one year after the London conference to support Syria in 2016.
The secretary preferred to focus on the humanitarian issue of the Syrian refugee crisis.
Patel, who expressed gratitude to the Lebanese community for hosting the Syrian refugees, said that the 58% of the London conference funding goes to humanitarian relief, while the rest goes to education.
