REPORT: Justice Parliamentary Committee abrogates Article 522 of Criminal Code

The Parliamentary Committee of Administration and Justice chaired by MP Robert Ghanem abrogated on Wednesday Article 522 of the Penal Code.

This article stipulated, inter alia, that a rapist can escape conviction should he recognize his crime and marry his victim.
