Hariri chairs new cabinet session
Prime Minister Saad Hariri chaired on Friday a cabinet session with 46 items on its agenda.

At the beginning of the session, Hariri stressed the need to preserve “the special ties with the Gulf" and to "respect international treaties and Resolution 1701.

He also voiced hopes that all parties would cooperate with the president and the government in order to safeguard the country from all potential threats, to enhance its economy, and to meet the people’s needs.

Following the session, Minister of Culture Ghattas Khoury told reporters that the government allocated USD 250.000 to anyone who would give information about the fate of the servicemen kidnapped by the Islamic State in the border town of Arsal.

On another note, Khoury said that discussions over the state budget draft "were positive."
