Rai urges the drafting of vote law that preserves proper representation

Maronite Patriarch Bechara Rai said during his Sunday sermon from Bkerke that the political authority has tremendous responsibilities to shoulder on all levels, in order to guarantee the country’s stability.

Patriarch Rai stressed the importance of achieving economic progress, to provide work opportunities for the Lebanese people, and to combat corruption.

He also urged for the drafting of a new electoral law that preserves proper representation.

“The new vote law must guarantee that each vote has a value," Rai added.

Patriarch Rai concluded by saying that the diversity in representation is “Lebanon's special feature.”
