Free Patriotic Movement chief, Foreign Minister Gebran Bassil stressed that “extending the term of the parliament is like holding the Lebanese people at gunpoint,” adding that whoever is suggesting the extension option is looking for an easy way out from the failure to reach a new electoral law.
Following the Change and Reform bloc’s weekly meeting, Bassil noted that every time they come close to reaching an agreement over a certain formula, several interpretations appear in the media and send all agreement into the abyss.
