For second consecutive day, the trucks gathered on Thursday since the early morning hours across several Lebanese regions, to protest against a decision issued by the Interior Ministry to halt the work of quarries and crushers until the case is discussed during a cabinet session in a bid to regulate the sector.
According to the Traffic Management Center, the trucks were parked on the side of Safra highway in both directions, on Dora highway toward Karantina, on Zahrani highway in both directions, on Khaldeh highway toward Beirut in Costa Brava region and on Daher al-Baydar main road. The traffic remained normal.
