REPORT: Minister Fenianos says bids of Beirut airport should be example to follow

Public Works and Transport Minister Youssef Fenianos said on Friday that what happened at Lebanon's Rafic Hariri International Airport “should be the model for all responsibilities for the Ministry of Public Works.”

 

The minister’s comments were made during a press conference whereby he noted that the announcement was published in the official gazette and four newspapers.

 

PAC won the tender of Lebanon's Rafic Hariri International Airport duty free for additional four years.

 

PAC has been running the duty free at Beirut airport for the last 15 years. Some of the other companies that offered bids for the contract voiced outrage at the results and recorded their protest with the committee that assessed the offers. They say that they had met all the conditions placed by the committee and the ministry.
