General Security arrests Palestinian for links with ISIS
The General Security said in a statement on Saturday that a Palestinian was arrested on the suspicion of belonging to ISIS.
The suspect was identified only by his initials as M. F. Sh., who reportedly admitted to joining Daesh through two Syrian nationals identified as Q.Gh. and B.Q., who fought along the terrorist group in Syria.
The two Syrians had arrived in the Palestinian refugee camp of Ain al-Hilweh in the southern city of Sidon, and joined a terrorist group led by Al-Qaeda-linked Bilal Badr.
The suspect said that he was waiting for the formation of an Islamic emirate in Lebanon to pledge allegiance for it.
He also confessed to following Daesh news online and on social media pages and which he was able to communicate with several people that belong to the organization, exchanging information about suicide bombings and murders.
He was reffered to the concerned judicial authorities after the end of interrogations with him.
