Preliminary investigations in the case of the killing of Sheikhs Ahmad Abd al-Wahed and Mohamad Merheb in Kweikhat are ongoing. 

Interrogations, carried out under the supervision of Military Judge Sakr Sakr included those officers and soldiers detained after the incident as well as forensic reports on the type of arms used during the clash.

The injuries sustained during the shooting are also being considered before formal charges are drawn up.
