Citizen Charbel Rahme was killed at Madfoun army check point after he refused to stop
Citizen Charbel Rahme, born in Bcharre, was killed after he refused to stop at a check point at Madfoun Bridge. He was hit by a bullet in his head and died instantly.                 

The dead body was taken to Batroun Hospital, while the military police came to the scene and started the investigations in the case.           

Later, the roads in Bsharri were cut off with burning tires in protest to the killing of Charbel Rahme.          

Members of the Madfoun Army check point were transferred to the competent authority to be interrogated. The car of the deceased, which is a Mercedes , was hit by 6 bullets.    

Major Nasr told LBCI that he will leave the case to the investigations.        

MP Elie Keyrouz headed to Bsharri and called on the protesters to calm down and not to be draw into any reckless instinctive acts. He told them that they should wait for the investigations in this case.

Afterwards, the burning tires were put off and the road reopened. The protesters went with the priests of the parish and the president of the municipality to St Saba church where they rang the church bells and lit candles for the deceased youngster.
