German Foreign Minister Guido Westerwelle arrives in Beirut for a two-day visit
German Foreign Minister Guido Westerwelle arrived in Beirut at 4pm Thursday. He is set to meet the country’s top officials to discuss the latest developments affecting Lebanon and the region.        

Receiving him at the airport was Lebanese foreign ministry representative Hassan Abbas, and German ambassador Brigitta Sevker.           

The German official met with head of the Future Bloc Fouad Siniora, and is also set to meet President Michel Suleiman, Speaker Nabih Berri, and Foreign Minister Adnan Mansour. He will be meeting Prime Minister Mikati on Friday.
