Jabbour to LBCI: Lavrov’s statement positive
Member of the Syrian National Council Foreign Affairs Bureau Georges Jabbour said on Saturday from Istanbul, that the statement of Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov that Russia does not oppose the step down of Assad in case the people wanted it is a positive statement.

Jabbour told LBCI that he hopes that Lavrov’s statement reflects a new change in Russia’s view to the Syrian crisis.

Commenting on the fact that Russia does not know any alternative to Kofi Annan’s plan to end the violence in Syria, Jabbour noted that Annan himself admitted the failure of his plan.
