Germany pledges military cooperation with LAF
Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati held talks with German Chancellor Angela Merkel in Berlin on Thursday. Mikati also met with the German foreign Ministry representative Robert Pullins at parliament.        

Pullins stated said that he had held discussions earlier regarding the situation surrounding Lebanon. He said that the first mission of the Lebanese government is applying the dissociation policy. He added that the German contingent will be extending its mandate within the UNIFIL forces.                 

Deputy Defense Minister Christian Schmidt also met with Mikati. He too pledged ongoing aid for the LAF and marine forces alongside the UNIFIL.
