Hezbollah: McCain’s call for setting buffer zone in the North an intervention in its internal affairs
Hezbollah said on Friday that the call of US Senator John McCain for setting a buffer zone in Lebanon’s north is a blatant violation of Lebanon’s sovereignty and an offensive intervention in its internal affairs.

Hezbollah stressed that this intervention opposes the self-distancing policy that the government announced, and which is supposed to be for the interest of Lebanon and the Lebanese people. The Resistance party considered that these statements are an implementation of the policy of American dictations and interference in other countries’ internal affairs.

Hezbollah called on the competent official authorities to raise their voice against the American intervention, “and to clarify to Washington that Lebanon is neither an ‘American reserve’, nor one of the ‘Banana republics’ on which the US administration can impose its foreign policy”.
