Yemeni
authorities confirmed the overall control of the Interior Ministry
building, which has seen bloody battles since Tuesday, killing 15 people, according to the Yemeni news agency.
The agency quoted the denial of the
commander of the Central Security Forces, Major General Yehya al-Kawsi,
who was earlier accused of supporting the attackers.
An official source said the attackers
were members of the Police Service
who wanted to achieve financial demands,
not gunmen seeking to permanent
tenure at the Ministry as reports earlier stated.
