Army officer injured during robbery of BLOM Bank in Elissar
Several injuries were reported on Thursday during the armed robbery of BLOM Bank in Elissar.

In details, two unknown individuals riding a motorcycle entered BLOM Bank on Thursday.

An army officer, Rayyan al-Jourdi, who happened to be withdrawing money from the ATM, tried to intercept the robbers who opened fire at him. The officer was injured and was accordingly rushed to Serhal hospital for treatment.                 

The thieves escaped toward an unknown direction after having robbed the aforementioned bank.         
According to the National News Agency, the robbers were wearing helmets as well as black and gray sports clothes.

Security forces are currently chasing after the suspects.  

In turn, the Army Command confirmed in a statement that an army officer with the rank of captain was severely injured during the armed robbery of BLOM Bank.
