Sehayle crime: details and motives
Around 10 o’clock on Wednesday night, gunshots were heard near the municipality building in the town of Sehayle, particularly in Villa Fawwaz .

It was reported that 55-yeal-old Georges Melhem Fawwaz was found dead in the living room with three gun shots wounds, while his wife, 49-year-old Mona Tannous al-Jawish, was also found with one gun shot wound sustained in her right shoulder.

In this context, security sources told LBCI that domestic motives may have been at play, noting that there are clear signs of a familial dispute.

Following the examination of the crime scene, it was revealed that the wife went to her bedroom after being shot in her shoulder, and took two sedative pills, then went back to the living room where she fell to the ground. The two pills were found in her mouth.

Mona was taken to St. George hospital in Ajaltoun where she was placed in an intensive care room, while the criminal evidence teams launched investigations and lifted evidence and fingerprints from the crime scene. A hunting rifle allegedly used at the scene of the crime was found near the corpse of George Fawwaz.
