Iran’s President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, who is currently visiting Indonesia to participate in a democracy forum, criticized the US presidential elections and described them as “a battlefield for capitalists.”
The fifth Bali Democracy Forum on Indonesia's resort island comes a day after President Barack Obama was re-elected in the U.S. election. The two-day forum that counts 11 heads of state among 1,200 participants, including 27 foreign ministers from 73countries, will discuss how democratic global governance can contribute to international peace and security, economic development and human rights in the wake of political transitions around the world.
