Iranian Energy Minister meets with Sleiman, Nasrallah
 
President Michel Sleiman met Iran’s Energy Minister Majid Namjo whereby the two discussed bilateral ties.

Namjo transferred to Sleiman Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad’s greetings and appreciation for the efforts made to maintain national unity in Lebanon.

The meeting dealt with the developments in the region, especially in Syria, where the emphasis was placed on the importance of finding a political solution to the crisis without the need of resorting to foreign military intervention.

Iran’s Energy Minister also met with the Secretary General of Hezbollah under the auspices of the Iranian Ambassador to Lebanon Ghazanfar Roknabadi.

They discussed the projects that the Islamic Republic of Iran is willing to implement in Lebanon especially in the fields of electricity and dams.

The meeting also dealt with the recent political developments in the region and the situation in Gaza.
