Kunhadi and ALFA launch new driving awareness campaign

Following the increasing traffic accident related to the use of mobile phones while driving, the Kunhadi organization along with the Alfa Telecommunications Company, launched on Tuesday a new awareness campaign from the Beirut Press Club.

In this context, president of the organization, Fadi Gebran shed light on the risks of using mobiles while driving, whether for performing regular calls or for sending short text messages, emphasizing the need to create further awareness campaigns in this regard.

Earlier this year, YASA (Youth Association for Social Awareness) tweeted that it expects 20% more car accidents in Lebanon in 2013 if the road conditions stay the same and the law remains unchanged, presenting statistics showing that the highest number of accidents is occurring during July & August and not during the winter season.
