Future Bloc, Lebanese Forces and PSP agree on hybrid electoral law

Caretaker Social Affairs Minister Wael Abou Faour told LBCI on Tuesday that the formula agreed upon between the Lebanese Forces and the Future Bloc has been presented by the Future Bloc to the Progressive Socialist Party.

Abou Faour added that this formula which is "acceptable" is based on the hybrid law by which 69 deputies are elected on the basis of the majoritarian system and 59 deputies on the basis of the proportional system.

In turn, sources told LBCI that the Kataeb Party has not yet agreed on the Future Bloc's proposal.

Meanwhile, Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri assured that the General Authority session will be held on Wednesday, and he will take the appropriate decision after evaluating the available facts.
