MP Kabbara says clashes will subside in Tripoli during the night

Future Bloc MP Mohammad Kabbara said on Saturday that sniping operations are still being heard, regardless of the deployment of the Lebanese Armed Forces in Jabal Mohsen, stressing that clashes will subside in Tripoli during the night.

Following a meeting held at the residence of Caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati in the presence of Tripoli’s figures, MP Kabbara stressed that consensus was reached over the implementation of a security plan in order to restore stability in Tripoli.

In this regard, MP Kabbara stressed the need to maintain security and apply the laws on all Lebanese parties, calling on the Public Prosecution to pursue further investigations after threats to shell Tripoli, and to immediately stop all forms of violence by eliminating the presence of arms.
