George Maarawi to LBCI: Updating administrative transactions solves real estate departments' crisis

The Director General of Land Registration and Cadastre at the Ministry of Finance, George Maarawi, announced accumulated transactions in Mount Lebanon real estate departments since their closure, confirming that employees have started working internally to complete them.

Speaking on LBCI's "Nharkom Said" TV show, he hoped that these transactions would be completed as soon as the current strike by the public sector ends.

Maarawi said, "We will work on completing the transactions and inform citizens of their readiness when they become available in every real estate department, and we currently have only 21 registered notaries covering work throughout Lebanon."

Maarawi saw that updating administrative transactions is the solution to this crisis, allowing citizens to complete transactions away from administration, calling for adopting the law that was worked on in 2018.
