Israeli army orders Gaza residents to evacuate and head south

The Israeli army ordered on Friday "all residents of the city of Gaza" to evacuate it and head south in light of the war between Israel and the Hamas movement entering its seventh day.

The army issued a statement calling "all residents of the city of Gaza to evacuate their homes and head south for their safety and to be located in the southern Gaza Valley," affirming that "return to the city of Gaza will not be allowed until an official statement permits it."
