Tehran’s intense air pollution forces school closures

The Iranian authorities instructed students and many civil service employees in Tehran not to leave their homes on Wednesday due to high levels of air pollution.

The official Iranian news agency (IRNA) cited a government committee monitoring pollution, stating that "one-third of employees in all executive bodies will work remotely on Wednesday due to the accumulation of pollutants."
