Turkish FM: Iran and Pakistan do not want to escalate tensions

Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan said on Thursday that Iran and Pakistan do not want to escalate tensions in the region.

Fidan's remarks came after contacts with his counterparts from both countries, which exchanged strikes across the border in the past two days.

He added at a press conference in Jordan that Turkey advised both parties not to escalate further and emphasized the need to restore calm as soon as possible.
