Turkey calls on Iran to avoid further escalation with Israel

Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan conveyed to his Iranian counterpart in a phone call on Sunday that Turkey does not want further escalation of tensions in the region after Iran's missile and drone attack on Israel.

Turkish diplomatic sources stated that Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian informed Fidan that the 'retaliatory operation' against Israel had ended, adding that Iran would not launch a new operation unless attacked.
