REPORT: Lebanese army holds conference on its offensive against ISIS
The Lebanese army held on Saturday a press conference few hours after it launched an offensive against ISIS militants in the border towns of Ras Baalbek and al-Qaa.

The spokesman of the LAF Command General Nazih Jreij briefed the media about the first day of the operation, saying that 11 militants’ positions were destroyed and large quantities of weapons, explosives and ammunition were seized.

“About 20 terrorists were killed, while 10 LAF troops were injured, including one in critical condition,” he added.

The spokesman also stressed that the offensive will continue until the goals are fully achieved.
