“Asharq Al-Awsat” obtained the result of a study on the economic impact of the war conducted by unofficial sources, which revealed that the total losses in the south amounted to about $1.2 billion. 

These losses are primarily linked to destroying infrastructure, roads, buildings, and agricultural lands. 

Additionally, there are around $300 million in indirect losses due to the closure of institutions and cessation of business.
