Amazon invests huge sums to develop its AI tools

On Monday, Amazon Group announced an investment of up to $4 billion in the American artificial intelligence company Anthropic, which is developing a competitor to the "GPT-3" program, accelerating the global race in these technologies.

Through this partnership, the e-commerce and cloud computing giant will acquire a minority stake in Anthropic, the developer of "Claude," an AI chatbot that competes with "GPT-3," the famous AI tool developed by OpenAI.

Similar to GPT-3, Anthropic is one of the most advanced companies in developing artificial intelligence tools, alongside technology giants Google and Microsoft.

Generative AI allows for the creation of original content based on large amounts of data. It provides a user interface for those who ask questions or make requests for written text, music, images, or code snippets.

With this agreement, Amazon seeks to strengthen its presence in this rapidly advancing sector, which is attracting the interest of internet giants and investors alike.

While artificial intelligence is of interest to many companies, they still rely on cloud computing giants like Microsoft, Amazon Web Services (AWS), or Google for the necessary computational power to utilize these technologies.
