N. Korea enshrines nuclear power status in constitution

North Korea's state news agency announced on Thursday that the legislative council in Pyongyang has passed a law that enshrines in the constitution the country's status as a nuclear-armed state.

The agency quoted leader Kim Jong-Un as saying at a meeting of the People's Council held on Tuesday and Wednesday, "The policy of building nuclear power for the Democratic People's Republic of Korea has become permanent, serving as the state's fundamental law that no one can violate."
