UK announces new sanctions on Russia

The United Kingdom announced more than 50 new sanctions on Russia on Thursday, two days before the second anniversary of the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

The new British sanctions target ammunition manufacturing companies, electronics companies, diamond and oil traders, aiming to "shrink" the arsenal of Russian President Vladimir Putin, according to the British Foreign Ministry on Thursday.
