Ukrainian military downs long-range Russian strategic bomber

On Friday, the Ukrainian military announced the downing of a long-range Russian strategic bomber used to launch cruise missiles at cities across the country, marking the first such incident since the Russian invasion.

In a statement posted on social media, the military said, ''For the first time, anti-aircraft missile units of the Air Force, in cooperation with Ukrainian military intelligence, destroyed a long-range strategic bomber of the Tu-22M3 type.''
