Alia is a widow who returns from Canada to Lebanon to bury the body of her husband in his hometown, a village situated at the Lebanese-Syrian borders. She faces difficulties in coping with the customs and traditions of his family members who force her to do things she would never do. Despite all the disasters surrounding her, she finds the “impossible love,” which drives her to further pain and suffering.
