REPORT: Kabbara, Merhebi call for adjusting conditions of non-Lebanese workers

Labor Minister Mohammad Kabbara called on all commercial institutions and shops to adjust the conditions of illegally employed non-Lebanese workers, stressing that the ministry will take action in case of any violation.

During a joint conference with State Minister for Refugee Affairs Mouin Merhebi, Kabbara emphasized the need that the municipalities have a role in monitoring this issue.

For his part, Minister Merhebi urged the donors and the private sector to hold dialogue to find means to create jobs for the Lebanese and non-Lebanese nationals, while remaining under the law.
