The northern city of Tripoli lit up a giant Ramadan lantern on al-Tal region and another in Street 32 Dam wa Farez, during a ceremony held at Jamal Abdel Nasser Square in al-Tal.
The lanterns are 6-meter high and a 3-meter wide in diameter and equipped with multi-colored lighting devices.
The city’s mayor hoped that these events will help reviving the economic and social activities across the Lebanese regions during the holy month of Ramadan, stressing that Tripoli will always be the city of peace and coexistence.
