President Aoun extends Eid al-Fitr greetings to Lebanese people

President Michel Aoun conveyed on Sunday his Eid al-Fitr greetings to the Lebanese people.

"Every eid has joy, and joy carries hope," Aoun said via his Twitter account.

"We ask God for a Eid al-Ftir that will give the Lebanese their hope," he added.

The president also wished for security and peace in the Middle East region.

A statement from Aoun's press office said that he extended his greetings to leaders of Arab and Muslim countries.
