Minister of Environment, World Bank re-mobilized a loan to address pollution of Litani River
Minister of Environment Nasser Yassin met on Friday a delegation from the World Bank with whom he tackled an array of projects, including the plan to treat pollution in the Litani River Basin and Qaraoun Lake.

During the meeting, they communicated with representatives of the World Bank in Washington via Zoom, and discussed re-mobilizing the bank’s loan of $250 million to contribute to cleaning the riverbed and establishing refining plants for industrial and sewage water.

Yassin also tackled with a delegation from the French Agency for Development (AFD) the areas of cooperation in the environmental sector, improving water management and refining waste water.
