PM Mikati meets Yemeni ambassador

Prime Minister Najib Mikati met on Friday with Yemeni ambassador to Lebanon Abdullah Al-Deais at the Grand Serail. 

Following the meeting, the envoy said that he conveyed to PM Mikati the congratulations and well wishes of Yemeni Prime Minister Maeen Abdul-Malik on the success of the electoral process and his wishes that success in the elections would be the beginning of addressing the economic and development problems that Lebanon is experiencing, as well as the return of stability and the beginning of achieving development."

"I briefed PM Mikati on the developments in Yemen, including the formation of the Presidential Council led by Rashad Al-Alimi and the current two-month truce between the government and the Houthi militia, and the government seeks to make the truce permanent and begin the peace process and the return of stability to Yemen," he added.
