Bohsali: Lebanese citizen is concerned about ability to buy food
Head of the Syndicate of Food Importers Hani Bohsali said on Monday that "the Lebanese citizen is concerned today about the ability to buy food," pointing out that the Lebanese state is studying the issue of raising fees from a technical point of view.

"We are in favor of encouraging the local industry in balance with the import sector, which employs more than 100,000 individuals," Bohsali said in an interview with LBCI’s Nharkom Said TV show.

He stressed that "the Lebanese state has the right to recover its resources, whether they in customs dollars or by unifying the exchange rate."
He also believed that "if the state is able to unify the exchange rate, we will no longer need the US dollar, but rather the prices will be fixed at a fixed rate."
