Alfa, Touch employees vow escalation-[REPORT]

In a warning move, employees of Alfa and Touch, two mobile telecom companies, have not reported to work since eleven in protest of what they view as political favoritism in the awarding of incentives and promotions to some employees of the two companies.

The employees’ syndicate of companies operating the cellular sector demanded that Caretaker Minister of Telecommunications Johnny al-Qorem grant all workers the raises and allowances that have been overdue since 2018 because they "are rights mentioned in the clauses of the collective labor contract."

This as the syndicate vowed escalation in case the demands are not met.
