[VIDEO] Nasrallah: Some sides are using vote law file to settle scores
Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah delivered on Tuesday a televised speech marking Hezbollah Martyr Day.

In his speech, Nasrallah noted that some parties are using the electoral law file to “sabotage some alliances and settle scores.”

He also added that the Shiite-Shiite alliance does not reject any draft vote law, adding that no electoral law was imposed on anyone.

Nasrallah stressed that Lebanon is on the brink of the abyss, calling on the leaders not to take the situation carelessly and to seek an agreement.

On another note, he said that there are no military threats on the Lebanese borders, expect for the border town of Arsal.

Turning to Lebanon’s internal files, Nasrallah stressed that unemployment is" one of the most dangerous problems facing the country," calling on the government to study this file in order to deal with it.

Lebanese leaders are still struggling to agree on a new vote law in time for a Parliament session scheduled for May 15.

President Michel Aoun postponed in April a parliamentary session where Lebanese MPs were expected to extend their mandates for a third time in a row since 2013.

Parliamentary elections were initially scheduled to be held between May 21 and June 21, yet political deadlock is expected to delay the polls beyond June.
