MP Harb: Machnouq, Bassil hide amendments of elections-related laws

MP Boutros Harb asserted on Thursday that he can’t understand the efforts deployed by Interior Minister Nouhad Machnouq and Foreign Affairs Minister Gebran Bassil in hiding their amendments to laws related to the elections of the Lebanese immigrants.

Harb warned against the violations that make the electoral process full of legal gaps that affect the voting and the votes sorting.

He called on the government to stop manipulating the Constitution and laws and using the ministries to achieve the interests of the ministers that are candidates for the polls.

Harb concluded by blaming the government for subjecting the elections to challenges before the Constitutional Council.
