BDL issues new statement

Banque du Liban issued on Thursday a statement clarifying the issue of lending based on Article 91 of the Code of Money and Credit which required it to grant the government a loan due to the exceptional and dangerous circumstances in Lebanon because of the state’s failure to pay its debts.
