Brax: Central Bank failure to provide US dollars to gasoline importing companies will result in exchange rate increase
Member of Lebanon's Syndicate of Petrol Station Owners George Brax stated on Saturday that when the Central Bank stops providing US dollars for companies to import gasoline, the exchange rate will rise, as will the prices.

"This will result in a comprehensive price hike, a further collapse in the purchasing power of citizens, and thus the creation of new crises," he added in a tweet.

"If the news is true, we hope those in charge will wait until the beginning of negotiations with the International Monetary Fund and for Lebanon to regain some of its International confidence," he concluded by saying.
