Employee sacked off Beirut municipality

The Higher Disciplinary Council issued on Monday an order for a member of the Beirut Municipality to be sacked off work on charges of taking bribes.

 

The Council, headed by Judge Marwan Abboud, said that the employee, identified only by his initials as H.Gh., was an engineer in the municipality and accepted bribes in return for completing services illegally.

 

The Council also called for the expansion of the investigations in the municipality to reveal any additional suspects violating the law.
