Son of Mustapha al-Hujeiri referred to judiciary
The Lebanese Army Intelligence Branch referred on Monday the son of Arsal sheikh to the judiciary after ending questioning over his role in the 2014 clashes in the border town of Arsal.
Oubada al-Hujeiri, the son of Sheikh Mustafa al-Hujeiri, was referred to the concerned judicial authorities, according to statement issued by the army.
Hujeiri, the statement added, was one of the most prominent figures of the Nusra Front.
The statement added that Hujeiri admitted to providing the terrorist group with weapons, ammunition and food. He also confessed to sheltering armed men in his house in Arsal before taking them to the town’s outskirts to join terrorist groups.
“He also admitted to handing military personnel over to the Nusra terrorist group in August 2014 with his father Mustafa al-Hujeiri,” the statement said.
Hujeiri also admitted to trafficking in weapons, ammunition and kidnapping people in exchange of a ransom.
